ABOUT US
The 100 Club of Wharton County was organized by concerned businessmen in 1978. It is dedicated to the morale and support of peace officers in Wharton County, as well as bringing financial aid to families of those officers killed in the line of duty.
The Club has also established scholarships to help Wharton County students pursue a career in Criminal Justice.In 1986, the Club adopted an insurance policy to cover all law officers in the County. Current policies are in the amount of $100.000.
The 100 Club of Wharton County hosted its first annual Membership & Awards Banquet in 1981. The Banquet includes a dinner, speaker. and is high-lighted by the selection of an “Officer of the Year” from each of the departments, as well as other special awards.
The Law Enforcement Agencies serving to protect us and for which the 100 Club of Wharton County was established to assist. are: El Campo Police Department, Wharton Police Department, Wharton County Sheriff’s Department, Wharton County DPS Department (Pierce), Wharton County Game Wardens, Wharton County Constables, and Wharton County TABC.
