SCHOLARSHIPS
The 100 Club of Wharton County is excited to offer scholarship opportunities to applicants attending a two or four year college who are pursuing a career in Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice. Scholarships are $1500 per semester. Recipients will receive $1500 after registration for their first semester and $1500 after registration for their second semester of enrollment provided they meet all requirements. The maximum benefit is $3000 per application.
Applicants attending the Police Academy – Scholarships may be awarded to students that are attending a recognized Policy Academy. Scholarships are $1500 per semester payable upon applicant’s approval and $1500 payable upon employment by a law enforcement agency of Wharton County, Texas.
To be considered as a scholarship recipient, the applicant must:
- Be a graduate of a Wharton County High School or be a resident of Wharton County for the past five years or be currently employed by a law enforcement agency of Wharton County.
- Plan to become a certified Peace Officer, or be a current certified Peace Officer pursuing a continued education in law enforcement.
- Must satisfy the admission requirements of the chosen college.
